Staff Reports – INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A west side Burger King caught fire on Sunday morning, effectively closing down the breakfast rush.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police assisted the Wayne Township Fire Department at the restaurant located on the 5100 blocks of West Washington Street at approximately 8:10 a.m.

Reports state that West Washington Street was closed down for a time, while crews worked at putting the fire out.

The fire started in the bathroom, not in the kitchen, according to reports.

The restaurant will continue to be closed while investigations continue.
